Treasure

Photo101

For the Photo 101  prompt today, which is Treasure, I decided to go traditional route by photographing my wedding ring.  The ring is materially valuable but what it symbolizes is where the true treasure lies for me.  My wedding ring represents the most meaningful and important relationship of my life – my marriage to my best friend.

I learned a couple of things as I took the photos for today’s assignment:

  1. It is very difficult to take photos of your own hand.
  2. It is even more difficult to get a clear, close-up sparkly shot of diamonds on your own hand.
  3. A nosy cat, one of my fluffier treasures, makes everything 10x harder than it has to be…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed

“For this week’s challenge, find the shadows. You can choose a literal interpretation and shoot an actual shadow or you can play with the light and the dark, and create a moody scene or capture your subject in a rich and interesting way.”

Jenn Hooks

I chose to play with light and dark……

Weekly Photo Challenge: On Top

Two fluffy, grey and white brothers named Jesse and Sam joined our family almost two years ago.  They spend a lot of time on top of things.  It’s what they do.  The photos for this challenge are of Jesse, who is the bigger, lazier, and my kids would say dumber brother.  I don’t know about dumb, but goofy?  Definitely!
