Weekly Photo Challenge: Window

My new computer arrived a few days ago so I’m spending a little time sifting through and backing up photographs in preparation for the upgrade.  In the process, I’ve come to realize I’ve taken a bunch more window shots than I originally thought!  I’m sharing just a few completely unrelated images that caught my eye this morning.  Happy Saturday!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

“Life rarely presents fully finished photographs.  An image evolves, often from a single strand of visual interest – a distant horizon, a moment of light, a held expression.”

Sam Abell

This photo was taken at the Gliderport in La Jolla, California – one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever experienced.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree

I apologize.  I have been MIA for weeks now.  Out of the blue, life got a little crazy right in the middle of my summer and fun things were sacrificed to the Tyrant of Busyness.  To get back on the blogging wagon, I thought I’d participate in The Daily Post‘s Photo Challenge for this week which is “carefree”.

care•free  adj1. without anxiety or worry   2.  My four-year old niece, as she plays in the surf on the beach in Corolla (Outer Banks, North Carolina)

The essence of life is not in the great victories or grand failures, but in the simple joys.
